Sindh sets June 30 deadline for digital transport documents

The Government of Sindh has announced the complete digitalisation of route permits and vehicle fitness certificates across the province, making online documentation mandatory for all transporters and vehicle owners by 30 June 2026.

According to officials, the move is aimed at modernising the transport sector, increasing transparency and eliminating fraud linked to manual paperwork.

Provincial Minister for Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said all vehicle owners and transporters would be issued verifiable online documents under the new system.

He said the digitalisation process would help prevent tampering and reduce the need for citizens and transporters to repeatedly visit government offices.

The minister directed all relevant departments to ensure completion of the process before the deadline, warning that after 30 June all manual route permits and fitness certificates would be considered invalid.

Field offices have been instructed to complete 1,000 entries daily and inform transporters to begin their registration process immediately.

Sharjeel Inam Memon said strict legal action would be taken against vehicles operating without digital documents after the deadline.
