PM, Tarar felicitate newly elected CPNE leadership

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar have congratulated the newly elected office bearers of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE).

In his message, the prime minister extended best wishes to newly elected CPNE President Kazim Khan, Secretary General Ghulam Nabi Chandio, Senior Vice President Ayaz Khan, and other office bearers.

Separately, Attaullah Tarar also congratulated the newly elected leadership, including Vice Presidents Shakeel Ahmed Turabi and Anwar Sajidi, Secretary Information Munazza Saham, and other members of the body.

The information minister said journalism is an important pillar of a democratic society and noted that responsible journalism plays a vital role in promoting public awareness.

He expressed hope that the new leadership would help address the challenges faced by the media industry and further strengthen journalistic institutions in the country.

Attaullah Tarar said the government would continue cooperation with the media to promote responsible journalism and added that better harmony between media and state institutions is essential in the national interest.
