ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved several summaries submitted by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, including military awards for 1,172 personnel of the Armed Forces and Civil Armed Forces.
The President also approved national awards for citizens from various civilian fields in recognition of their services and contributions.
In another decision, President Zardari approved a special remission of 100 days in the sentences of eligible prisoners on the occasions of Independence Day and Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW).
Meanwhile, the President approved the summoning of sessions of the National Assembly and Senate on Monday.
The approvals were granted on summaries sent by the Prime Minister.
