Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of 14 newborn babies in a fire at the nursery of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
In a message posted on social media platform X, the former prime minister said he was deeply saddened by the loss of the innocent children in the tragic incident.
Nawaz Sharif expressed solidarity with the bereaved parents and prayed for patience and strength for the grieving families.
He called on the government to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and immediately determine those responsible. He also demanded strict action against anyone found negligent.
The PML-N leader stressed the need for effective measures to prevent such tragedies from occurring again and ensure the safety of newborns and patients in hospitals.
