Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday held a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Irfan Neziroğlu to discuss bilateral relations and the evolving regional situation.
The Turkish envoy briefed Dar on progress under various bilateral institutional mechanisms aimed at enhancing cooperation in multiple areas following recent high-level interactions between Pakistan and Türkiye.
Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening engagement with Türkiye in key priority areas.
He stressed the need for relevant departments on both sides to closely coordinate preparations for the forthcoming Joint Commission and the 8th session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council to advance the bilateral agenda.
Discussing the regional situation, Dar emphasised that dialogue and diplomacy remained the only viable path to resolving disputes and achieving lasting peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
