President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will arrive in Islamabad today on a day-long official visit to Pakistan.
He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising ministers and senior officials. During the visit, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The visit is expected to further strengthen the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and the UAE, rooted in mutual trust, shared values and a legacy of close cooperation.
Earlier in June this year, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed the strong, fraternal ties between their two countries during a meeting in the UAE. The leaders discussed a range of bilateral, regional and global issues and agreed to deepen cooperation in key sectors.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership for its constructive role in helping ease tensions between Pakistan and India, and appreciated Abu Dhabi’s efforts in promoting peace, dialogue and regional stability.
Both sides expressed satisfaction over the positive momentum in bilateral relations and ongoing engagements at various levels. They also agreed to maintain close coordination and continue working together to achieve shared objectives of regional peace and prosperity.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated his invitation to the UAE President to visit Pakistan, which has materialised with today’s visit.
