Ishaq Dar meets Omani foreign minister on ASEAN Forum sidelines

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum in Manila.

During the meeting, both leaders welcomed the steady progress in bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction over the growing cooperation between the two countries. They agreed to further deepen ties by promoting high-level visits, expanding trade and investment, increasing people-to-people exchanges, strengthening business-to-business partnerships, and maintaining close coordination at regional and international forums.

The two foreign ministers also discussed the latest regional and global developments and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

The Omani foreign minister praised Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting dialogue, de-escalation, and regional peace and security.

Both sides also voiced concern over the recent developments in the region and underlined the importance of maintaining the ceasefire, respecting international law, and working collectively for lasting peace and stability. They agreed to remain in close contact and continue consultations on regional matters.
