Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday strongly condemned the attempted drone attack targeting the Holy Site of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, expressing solidarity with Saudi Arabia.
In a post on X, the prime minister said the people of Pakistan were deeply saddened and perturbed by the incident, describing it as an outrageous and reprehensible act.
PM Shehbaz praised the Royal Saudi Armed Forces for their vigilance, courage and professionalism, commending their swift response to the attempted attack.
He urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint and avoid further escalation, stressing that dialogue and diplomacy remained the only sustainable path towards peace.“Pakistan stands unwaveringly, shoulder to shoulder with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” the prime minister said, reaffirming Islamabad’s support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and the security and sanctity of the Haramain Sharifain.
