Pakistan, Belarus to enhance ties in diverse sectors

BISHKEK  –  Pakistan and Belarus have agreed to further enhance bilateral cooperation in trade, industry, agricul­ture, IT, and vocation­al training as priority sec­tors.

An understanding to this effect came during a meet­ing between Prime Min­ister Shehbaz Sharif and Belarusian President Alek­sandr Lukashenko on the sidelines of the Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Co­operation Organization in Bishkek on Tuesday.

The two leaders ex­pressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Belarus bilater­al relations and the robust cooperation across polit­ical, trade, economic, de­fence, and cultural fields.

They reaffirmed their shared commitment and resolve to elevate the long-standing friendly rela­tions between Pakistan and Belarus to new heights. The Prime Minister extended a warm and cordial invita­tion to the President of Be­larus to undertake a visit to Pakistan next year.
