Mainly dry weather is expected across most parts of the country over the next 12 hours, while daytime temperatures are likely to remain high in the plains, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Partly cloudy conditions are forecast over the northern hilly areas during the afternoon, with rain and thunderstorms expected at isolated places in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
In Karachi, the minimum temperature was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius, while humidity stood at 74 per cent. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 37°C and 39°C, with hot and humid conditions prevailing in the city.Most parts of Balochistan are also expected to remain hot and dry. However, light rain is likely in Barkhan, Musakhel, Ziarat, Harnai, Zhob, Sherani and Khuzdar, accompanied by gusty winds at some places.
Peshawar is expected to experience partly cloudy and dry weather, with the maximum temperature likely to reach 34°C.
Hot and humid conditions are forecast for most plain districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the day. Light rain or drizzle is expected in Nowshera, Kohat, Hangu, Kurram, Bajaur and Mohmand.
Meanwhile, rain and thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds are likely in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla and Abbottabad. Khyber, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan and Waziristan may also receive light rain with strong winds.
The Flood Forecasting Division, in its latest outlook, has also forecast mainly dry weather across the country, with isolated rain or thunderstorms possible over parts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the northern catchment areas.
