The new PIA owners have approved leasing five aircraft, including two Boeing 777s on wet lease from Norse Atlantic, as part of efforts to revive and expand the airline’s operations.
The board also approved three additional aircraft on dry lease and directed officials to expedite procurement of spare parts.
The leased Boeing 777s will be used for PIA’s flights to Europe and the United Kingdom.
Meanwhile, PIA has announced an increase in London flights to seven per week from October 27, with five flights from Islamabad and two from Lahore.
