Ministry of Interior has rejected reports circulating on sections of media and social media regarding alleged targeted deportations of Pakistani nationals from the United Arab Emirates, terming such claims “malicious” and part of a “vicious propaganda” campaign.
In an official statement issued on Friday, the ministry said no country-specific or sect-specific deportations were being carried out by the UAE or any other country. It clarified that deportations, if any, are part of routine legal procedures related to violations of host country laws, visa overstay, or illegal documentation.
The ministry emphasized that Pakistani nationals who meet visa and employment requirements continue to travel to and obtain work opportunities in the UAE and other friendly countries without discrimination.
It further stated that fake news and misleading social media posts on the matter were malicious, fabricated, and aimed at serving ulterior motives.
According to the statement, any issues faced by Pakistani citizens abroad are addressed on a case-by-case basis through established diplomatic and foreign office channels with the concerned countries.
The ministry urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information and rely only on official sources for updates regarding overseas Pakistanis.
