ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Anti-Corruption Academy (PACA) organised its fourth orientation session for the district judiciary of Islamabad to strengthen understanding of money laundering investigations and prosecution under Pakistan’s anti-money laundering framework. Justice Muhammad Azam Khan of the Islamabad High Court, who attended the closing ceremony as chief guest, praised the initiative and highlighted the judiciary’s role in evaluating complex financial evidence and upholding the rule of law.
Chairman NAB Lt Gen (Retd) Nazir Ahmed said money laundering posed a serious threat to economic stability and public accountability, stressing the need for stronger inter-agency coordination and effective implementation of the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010. Senior NAB officials delivered technical presentations, while PACA Director General Ghulam Safdar Shah highlighted the academy’s role in strengthening institutional capacity. The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates among participating judges.
