ISLAMABAD – Ms Rameeza Majid Nizami, Editor and Managing Director of Nawa-i-Waqt/The Nation, accompanied by The Nation Editor Salman Masood and Nawa-i-Waqt Islamabad Resident Editor Aziz Alvi, called on Acting President and Senate Chairman Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday.
The Acting President also hosted a luncheon in honour of Ms Nizami and her delegation.
The meeting featured a wide-ranging discussion on the media, politics and current affairs. Ms Nizami conveyed her best wishes to the Acting President and praised his longstanding parliamentary and democratic services to the country.\The Acting President lauded the Nawa-i-Waqt Group’s contribution to journalism in Pakistan under Ms Nizami’s leadership.
President’s spokesperson Murtaza Solangi, Press Secretary Syed Danial Gilani and Deputy Director Media Chaudhry Nasir Rafiq were also present on this occasion.
