CDA, MCI expand digital civic services through PAK App

ISLAMABAD: Residents and businesses in Islamabad will be able to access a wider range of civic services digitally as the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) accelerate the shift towards online public service delivery through the PAK App.

The initiative aims to reduce the need for physical visits to government offices by allowing citizens to apply for selected municipal and civic services through their mobile phones.

Under the digital drive, online payment facilities are being introduced for CDA property tax and water bills, enabling citizens to make eligible payments through digital channels instead of visiting conventional payment counters.

The PAK App is also being developed as a central platform for various CDA and MCI services, including applications related to advertising and open spaces, parking permits, generator licences, municipal approvals and other civic matters.

Applicants will be able to submit requests electronically, upload required documents, track the progress of their applications and make payments through available digital options.

The initiative is expected to reduce paperwork and physical interactions while maintaining electronic records of applications, approvals and payments. The digital system will also allow authorities to monitor service requests and transactions more systematically.
