LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has extended greetings to the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the Kingdom’s National Day.
In her special message, Maryam Nawaz said the people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were pleased with the Makkah Agreement, describing it as an important step towards promoting peace and stability in the region.
She said the Pakistani people considered it a privilege to contribute to the protection of the Holy Mosques, adding that Pakistan’s leadership and people held Saudi Arabia in the highest regard with love, devotion and respect.
The chief minister said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoyed brotherly relations based on trust, sincerity and mutual respect, with their ties rooted in Islam, brotherhood and confidence.
She expressed her prayers for peace, progress and prosperity in Saudi Arabia and said the Makkah Agreement would further strengthen regional peace and stability.
Maryam Nawaz also praised Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s vision and wisdom, saying his leadership had helped Saudi Arabia attain a prominent position in the world.
She prayed that Allah Almighty would always preserve the bonds of brotherhood between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
